John Reitnouer is the portfolio manager responsible for guiding the planning process and implementing investment strategy according to each client's objectives. He conceived and developed the Foundations portfolio management philosophy while navigating major market corrections and recoveries during his 30-year career in the financial advisory business.  

John joined Crowell, Weedon & Co. in 1994, which merged with D.A. Davidson & Co. in 2013. He was elected to the D.A. Davidson & Co. Advisory Board in January 2014 for a two-year term. He is currently a member of the firm's Chairman's Council and Director's Council. John served as Branch Manager in Los Angeles from 1994 to 2017, and is the former Director of Crowell Weedon's investment advisory division. He was previously associated with Kidder, Peabody & Co. as Vice President, Investment Executive and Assistant Branch Manager in downtown Los Angeles. John holds Certified Wealth Strategist^® and Accredited Investment Fiduciary^® designations in addition to a MBA from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado. 

John has served on a variety of charitable boards. He currently is a member of the asset guidance committee of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association, a past president of the USC Commerce Associates and Chairman Emeritus of the USC Business Alumni Association.

Katherine joined D.A. Davidson in 2014. Her role is to proactively assist and guide clients through the financial planning and investing process. Katherine was previously affiliated with Thomson Reuters as a Training Consultant, where she was responsible for helping financial service firms understand how to utilize technology upgrades in managing their businesses. She holds the Series 7 general securities license and the Series 66 license, permitting her to work with clients in California and throughout the United States. Katherine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University of Ohio. She is active in charitable organizations, including the Junior League of Los Angeles.
